Joan Ashard is the driving force behind Little Darlings Doll Museum & Coffee Shop.
"I started my love of dolls at a very early age. My mum used to play dollies
with me on our farm where I grew up. I used to sit and make lots of outfits
etc, as I loved sewing, knitting and crocheting. I have dedicated the Little
Darlings Doll Museum in loving memory to my mother - Ida Florence Herivel".
"Over the years, my love of dolls has grown from my 3 or 4 as a child, to over
15,000 dolls!
My collection includes 2000 porcelain
dolls, starting with dolls from the late 1800's up until today".
